WHO WE ARE:

We are a volunteer driven not-for-profit organisation striving to develop programs and services that meet the changing needs of our community. Our commitment is to focus on the needs of our customers and clients ensuring that we present a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment and all our services and activities are relevant and affordable.

A BIT OF HISTORY:
Pyramid Hill is a small town in northern Victoria.  Our House opened in 1989 in shared premises made available by the Loddon Shire, with funding from the then Community Services Victoria.
The House survived and grew through the commitment and hard work of it's Committee of Management and staff.  A move to new, larger premises in 1997 enabled the expansion of programs and services.  With Rural Transaction Centre funding from DOTARS in 2002, equipment was updated and hours of operation were extended.  We are currently open on Mondays from 1.00pm to 4.00pm and on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

OUR STRUCTURE:
Our Neighbourhood House is run by a Committee of Management who volunteer their time to manage the affairs of the House.  Meetings are held monthly and members of the public are welcome to attend.
The House is open and staffed for 27 hours per week of which only 15 hours is covered by our core funding.
Volunteers play an important role in the day to day running of the House and their input is highly valued.

FUNDING:
Our Neighbourhood House receives its core funding from the Department of Victorian Communities. Funding from Adult Community and Further Education enables us to provide educational courses at low cost, and occasionally other grants are available.
We are also able to offer basic emergency relief with funding from FACS.
