ABOUT US..........
We are
a volunteer driven not-for-profit organisation striving to develop
programs and services that meet the changing needs of our community. Our
commitment is to focus on the needs of our customers and clients ensuring
that we present a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment and all
our services and activities are relevant and affordable.
A BIT OF HISTORY:
Pyramid Hill is a
small town in northern Victoria. Our House opened in 1989 in shared
premises made available by the Loddon Shire, with funding from the then
Community Services Victoria.
The House survived and grew through the commitment and hard work of it's
Committee of Management and staff. A move to new, larger premises in 1997
enabled the expansion of programs and services. With Rural Transaction
Centre funding from DOTARS in 2002, equipment was updated and hours of
operation were extended. We are currently Monday to Friday from 10.00am
to 4.00pm.
OUR STRUCTURE:
Our Neighbourhood House is run by a Committee of Management who volunteer
their time to manage the affairs of the House. Meetings are held monthly
and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Volunteers play an important role in the day to day running of the House
and their input is highly valued.
FUNDING:
Our
Neighbourhood House receives its core funding from the Department of
Planning & Community Development. We are also able to offer
emergency relief with funding from FaCSHIA.
